Economic Development Plans

Since its formation in 1967, SCOG has contributed to regional economic development through the coordinated creation of numerous economic development plans. The first Overall Economic Development Plan (OEDP) for Skagit County dates back to 1976. 2013 was the year of the last major update to the Skagit County Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), the plan that superseds the OEPD.

Currently, SCOG is not scheduled to update the Skagit County CEDS or coordinate the creation of any new economic development plans. Many agencies contribute to regional economic development in the Skagit County area, such as Economic Development Alliance of Skagit County (EDASC), Port of Anacortes and Port of Skagit.
