As part of SCOG’s ongoing work to provide administrative support for the Skagit County Growth Management Act Steering Committee (GMASC), SCOG has helped to coordinate the completion of various plans and studies regarding housing affordability in the Skagit region. The Skagit County Housing Inventory and Transportation Analysis Final Report, along with the Skagit County Housing Action Plan, were completed in 2017 and help decision makers and staff to explore pathways towards creating and implementing affordable housing strategies in their jurisdictions.

It is important to note that the Final Report and Housing Action Plan are not part of a formal governmental planning process, and are meant for informational purposes. These studies help to provide a greater understanding of Skagit County housing trends on a whole.
