The Skagit Council of Governments (SCOG) is committed to providing equal access to its facilities, programs and services for all persons with disabilities.
As a federally designated Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and state designated Regional Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO), the Skagit Council of Governments (SCOG) is subject to the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Additionally, SCOG is the recipient of federal funds, making the organization subject to the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504).
One way that SCOG ensures continued compliance with both Title II of of the ADA and Section 504, is through periodic self-evaluation and update of a Program Access Plan.
